Make Your Own Nontoxic Air-Freshening Granules With Essential Oils

Air-freshening granules are a wonderful way to add a fresh scent to your home. Unfortunately many of the commercially produced air-fresheners contain less-than-desirable ingredients.

This simple recipe uses nontoxic ingredients to emit a fresh, lasting fragrance.

Items Needed:

Small Glass Jar
Uncooked Rice
10-20 drops of your favorite essential oil or blend of oils

For this recipe we used Lemon and Orange Essential Oils.

In a glass bowl we mixed our essential oils with our uncooked rice.

Stir to blend well.

Place the scented rice anywhere a fresh scent is desired.
We put ours in a small glass jar and tied some ribbon around it.  Lovely for the eyes and the nose!
