Essential Oils and Ringworm

Application ideas:
Dilute oil of choice as recommend and apply on location.

Ringworm of the body is a fungal infection that develops on the top layer of your skin. It's characterized by a red circular rash with clearer skin in the middle. It may or may not itch. Ringworm gets its name because of its appearance. There is no actual worm involved (Mayoclinic.org).

Additional Information:

Ringworm or tinea, is a highly contagious fungal infection of the skin. Observe careful hygiene and do not share clothing or linens. Ringworm can be spread through pets, people, infected soil and even surfaces that have been touched by animals or people that are infected. There are different types of tinea; it can appear in the shape of a red ring, white scales, or tiny white “cotton balls” (Purchon, 302), (Mayoclinic.org).

TeaTree essential oil provides an extremely effective treatment for ringworm. Apply 1 neat drop over the infected area three times a day until it’s clear. This should take no more than 10 days. After that, apply oil composed of 30 drops of tea tree diluted in 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. Rub over the area daily (Worwood, 192).

Blends that may help ease any rashes (even ones associated with ringworm).
